Leave Brisbane 9.00am Saturday morning. Receive the same wildlife information kit as for the 3-day wildlife tour. Buy food en route (at a supermarket, fruit shop or perhaps a country market if it is the first weekend of the month) for self-catered camping (we supply tent, sleeping bag, cooking utensils etc) at Running Creek. See wild kangaroos and wallabies, explore a local rainforest and camp near a platypus-inhabited creek. Join a nocturnal search for possums, owls etc. Good swimming holes in creek (weather permitting). Leave Brisbane 9.00am Saturday, return around 6.00pm Sunday. (includes GST)

From $297 per adult (2 days 1 night)
Leave your Brisbane accommodation or the Brisbane Transit Centre (we can pick up from the airport with sufficient advance notice) for a 90-minute drive with commentary to a scenic, genuine 'Aussie' working farm with hearty home-cooked meals (usually Cedar Glen near Lamington National Park or Lilydale near Mt Barney National Park). Ride a horse, join a 4WD trip to a picnic spot on the cliffs, do some birdwatching or spotlighting, feed the farm animals, go for a walk or just relax. Can be extended to 3 or more days and combined with Araucaria day-tours to forests and wetlands.

Let us know if you would like us to organize a weekend camp focusing on a theme such as identification of rainforest plants for beginners (how to identify them, and their ecological roles in the forest), birdwatching for beginners, bird behaviour (the sorts of things birds do and why, viewing of local birds), animal behaviour (same for other animals) ,wildlife ecology (general principles with local examples), natural history of the Border Ranges (overview of geology, flora and fauna, with more detailed look at local examples), science for children (fun ways of learning about animals, plants, rocks, the night sky, simple physics etc.) or other themes and whether you are driving yourself or would like transport from Brisbane or elsewhere in southeast Queensland. $88 per person including camping fee and all activities but not travel or meals (we can provide all camping and cooking gear: $22 per group sharing tent, and travel from Brisbane or elsewhere at extra cost).

Let us know if you would like us to organize a children's activities weekend camp at Running Creek. Depending on the age and interests of the group, activities can include many kinds of games with natural history themes, treasure hunts, nature studies, short hikes, craft activities, campfire singalongs, puzzles and more.
Proprietor Dr Ronda Green ran a children's holiday farm for almost 3 years in the Adelaide Hills, ran the Junior Rangers program in Lamington National Park for a summer season, lectured for 3 years in science activities for primary students, conducted a year-long project for Australian Conservation Foundation on recreational and educational activities fir children, has conducted many voluntary activities, outings and camps for children over the years, and is the mother of two (and grandmother of one). If you would like to participate but don't feel like camping, there is a motel 18km away and a bed and breakfast 15 km away, or jin us for a day of activities.
Organizing children's activities elsewhere? With sufficient notice we can come to you for a half-day, full day or more.

Conference delegates, family vacations, groups of friends, study tours, weekend camps, photography groups, special interest groups (bird behaviour, farm forestry, rainforest plants, insects, conservation, Indigenous culture........ many possibilities!).
We can provide travel to or from Brisbane or other venues in southeast Quieensland or northeastern New South Wales (e.g. to Sydney, the outback, reef or elsewhere, with your choice of activities along the way).
Wilderness experiences can be combined with wildlife parks, city sights or theme parks
Special activities such as mountain climbing, horse-riding, whale-watching and canoeing can be included
