Want to learn a lot about wildlife? This is our specialty.Regular tours include 1-day, 2-day and 3-day wildlife tours, 1-day bird-watching or bushwalking and other nature-based activites . We also provide custom tours with sufficient notice. Most tours depart from and return to Brisbane, but other pickups and destinations can be arranged with sufficient notice.
We cannot guarantee any particular species on a particular day, but there are some we're always pretty sure of. We do guarantee you'll see wildlife, also that we will cater for your dietary needs (if you tell us beforehand), that we will not cancel your tour because of low numbers (even if it should happen that you're the only one) and that we will take care of you right up to the end of the tour (not leave you stranded on a dark street as some tour companies have done to us in the past).

Araucaria Ecotours offers Australia's most comprehensive wildlife tours. We can show you most of Australia's' icon species, in the wild (kangaroos, koalas, platypus, emus, kookaburras, wedge-tailed eagle) or captivity (cassowary, crocodile), show you many lesser-known birds, mammals and other animals, explain some fascinating aspects of their ecology and behaviour, and introduce you to many of Australia's ecosystems. Wildlife guests receive a custom-written book on Australia's wildlife, its evolution and ecology. Our bird-watching and other wildlife tours are designed, and usually run, by a research zoologist. We can customize for your special interests. Self-drives can also drop in to our Wildlife Information Centre. When you ask questions we do out best to answer accurately, admitting when we don;t know, have a good library of natural history books you can refer to and can offer advice on where to seek further information.
